Music is the beating heart of COLPAI! Beyond their regular Music lessons, delivered by their class teachers and based on Charanga, an award-winning resource for primary music, all children enjoy fortnightly sessions with Ms Andrews, our tremendously talented specialist teacher. We enjoy close, collaborative relationships with our neighbours at Spitalfields Music; Guildhall School of Music and Drama; and the Islington Music Hub. From Year Four onwards, all pupils participate in instrumental lessons, learning to play the violin together. Clare, our violin teacher, also facilitates Creative Music workshops for Year Three in alternate weeks. COLPAI’s corridors are alive with song and our tri-annual concerts are not to be missed!
