Our bespoke curriculum for History and Geography is designed to ensure progression in knowledge and skill and, crucially, to ignite children’s intellectual curiosity, fostering their love of learning. Through meticulously planned units of work, COLPAI’s children travel through time and around the world. Cross-curricular projects are carefully mapped across Key Stages One and Two, allowing children to dive deeper into their Humanities topics through their daily Literacy lessons. Our curriculum’s content reflect COLPAI’s commitment to equity, inclusion and deep thinking, with children pondering big questions like, ‘Was everyone happy in Roman Britain?’, ‘Was Christopher Columbus truly ‘great’?’, and ‘What was happening elsewhere in the world?’
